I’m extremely frustrated with how notifications and live view currently work on my Eufy system.
When I receive a notification that someone has been detected and tap on it to view the footage, the app doesn’t immediately show me real-time video. Instead, it seems as though the camera begins recording to the HomeBase first, and while that is happening, live viewing is delayed or compromised.
This is completely unacceptable, especially in situations where you need real-time footage. If there is a person on your property, you need to be able to see what is happening instantly — not wait while the system appears to prioritise storage over live access.
It defeats the purpose of having a security camera if, at the exact moment you need it most, the system slows down or blocks you from seeing what is happening in real time.
I’m curious whether other users are experiencing the same issue, and whether Eufy are aware of this and planning to fix it. Right now, this feels like a serious flaw in how notifications and live viewing are handled.
