Recording Video Codec Issue
I just got my EufyCam S330/3 set up with the Homebase connected to my router. It’s in good range, I have fast internet, great connection, but for some reason even though I just bought my phone in 2023 (moto g power 5G 2023) whenever I try to switch to anything above 1080p quality it says my phone doesn’t have the codecs and I need to update my phone even though it’s up to date. Check the screenshot from the app below…what do I do to fix this?

I’m on an HOA board and we’ve had issues with crime so I need that 4K quality I was promised with the camera especially for license plates of strangers that have been dumping trash in our dumpsters. Help?

I did a Google search on your phone and asked if it could play recorded 2K videos.
Said it was limited to only 1080p playback.

Thank you. That makes no sense why a model as expensive as mine was in 2023 couldn’t do that. That’s a ripoff. I guess I’ll have to get a new phone when I can afford it. Thank you again.

You’re right about that, considering that the screen display is 2K capable, but the video graphics hardware accelerator they selected caps it at 1080p.
Makes no sense, unless they were trying to cut the costs down.
