Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble with my Eufy Security SoloCam S340 linked to HomeBase 3. Despite having the detection range set fully within my driveway, the camera has never detected a vehicle parking there.
So far, I’ve only had two vehicle detections:
- Once, while I was manually watching the road through the live feed.
- Another time when a person walked past my driveway, which triggered detection, and a vehicle parked to the right of my driveway was flagged at the same time.
Both the HomeBase firmware and the camera firmware are fully up to date, so this doesn’t appear to be a version issue.
I do understand that vehicle detection is still in beta, but from what I’ve seen, it seems to have been in beta since 2023 (or earlier). In that time, at least three pan & tilt cameras have been released, yet vehicle detection still doesn’t seem accurate or reliable.
Has anyone else had the same experience? Is this simply a limitation of the current AI model, or should I be looking into a potential fault with my unit?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
