Say which is th

Say which is the best way to arm your system…? Through the app or setting them through HB…
I have both HB3 HB2, and all my cameras are listed below…
Simplicity is my aim. while keeping it most effective at the same time… Im aiming mostly at home mode, and just want a few cameras arned, not all of them…
I only want to arm and disarm with ease. at the same time keeping them most effective…
I plan to set a time schedule for only a few cameras, a few hrs. of the night, like 12am. to 4=6am…
And I’d only like to have HB alert me, not having the cameras going off, annoying my neighbors in the middle of the night…
So far, I’ve been pretty good with the setting on everything, but I’m a little stuck right here…
any info would be appreciated, and thank you in advance…

I haven’t tried with these cameras, but line crossing or setting specific zones to set off the alarm would be the way to go if only using cameras.
Physical door contact sensors and a glass break sensor are the standard for reducing false positives entirely. Cameras are almost never used to set off your alarm in my industry. (Just to monitor and catalog what happned.)

You what I looked some of the settings up on Google…
And I found out you can use the automation settings group a set cameras…
I stayed up settings g it up last night, and to my su]rise it worked… I knew had somthing like that bit I wasn’t exactly sure how to set it… With that, it also said you have to have HB3 to group them together like that…
I’m still working with it and got a ways to go… and ya, the cameras them selves tend to miss identify objects and trip off false alarms , so it’s kind of a pain in the but at timea… that’s one of the reasons I have it set to just trigger the HB wich I have in my room…
My freekin neighbors would probably kill me had they had to put up with all that bs false alarms going off all the time with no actual event… :face_with_monocle: :sunglasses:

It all comes down to compute power. These cameras rely on themselves and the sensors they have to detect motion and humans. The software just categories it better once saved.
This is the opposite when you have a professional DVR that does all the work for the cameras. The cameras just feed the image to the dvr and the dvr categories it properly. (Obviously analog wired cameras are superior, but requires cable runs that can be difficult.)

Ya well I hope the software gets better, with that being g said… I think it’s goid enough for basic home security for DIY material…
I give them an A on that and you can’t beat the free app… as far as these other apps go…
That I know of anyways… first cam guy so, it’s a still pretty bew to me and I think it’s pretty awsome myself…
