i noticed at night that the little motion light on the doorbell often turns on even when there is nothing.
Could it be that the doorbell reacts on cars passing by in the street?
The street is 20m away from my door and the detection erea is set just in front of my door.
is there a setting to avoid this?

That’s far from the street, the vehicle headlamps projecting on your property could be causing that though.
Is it capturing recordings of it occurring or does the light just illuminate without any recordings?
You’re talking about the blue ring around the doorbell button, correct?
