We have 3 of the eufyCam 2 wireless cameras with the Homebase 2 and the eufy Video Doorbell E340.
Recently, I’d say for the past month or two, our Eufy cameras have had a severe delay in sending us a notification. Sometimes it literally takes 5-10min to send a notification after motion is detected. Other times it just completely misses someone walking in front of the camera and doesn’t record or send a notification. I have messed with the sensitivity, made sure the notification settings are right, made sure internet connection is good, firmware up to date, and made sure the Homebase settings are correct too. I’ve even reinstalled the app and nothing has fixed it. Another issue we are recently having is that when we try to turn off motion detection, it just sits there with the loading circle spinning. Then after about 10seconds it’ll say it failed when it actually didn’t, it turned it off. Even when we try to change the sensitivity settings, the same thing happens. Loading circle for 10sec then says failed error but doesn’t actually fail.
I’ve had these cameras for 5 years and this is the worst its been. Our eufy video doorbell that we got last year is the same way with the delayed notifications and its way newer then our cameras. Thats making me think its not a physical problem of the product itself and maybe the software/homebase/app problem. I have an android, my wife has a iPhone, and her notifications are delayed just like mine are.
Only thing I haven’t tried is removing a device and re-adding it to see if that fixes anything.
Any suggestions?
