Seems to track alright. I don’t have this model but on mine and I assume yours you can set it to where you want it to return to and set the speed it tracks. But other than looking at the ground to start (maybe what you want) tracking 
Yes very slow
I have been having numerous problems with the tracking on the S340. I have two of them.
If you have your camera angle set to how it was in the beginning. It should have picked her approach if she came the same way she left.
