Why not make a Smart Smoke Alarm? If I’m going to go to all the trouble of getting some sort of "listener"that notifies me when it hears my smoke alarm, I’m just going to get a Smart Smoke alarm. This sounds too much like the smart door lock that needed a wifi bridge only to be replaced shortly thereafter with a lock that had integrated wifi. Quit trying to build these in between, over complicated things and just design a real smart device that you’re not going to have to improve or replace within 6 months. Include carbon monoxide while you’re at it and then I’ll will consider buying one. A smoke alarm listener? Really?
