Snapshot is not working

I also wrote to support, and after exchanging emails and sending logs, they told me that an update had been released to fix the problem. I tried updating the app and it works. Now I can also view previous snapshots.

The problem is fixed. With the new app version snapshot function is working well.

So an “app update” was the needed to correct the issue
I wonder what smart fellow mentioned that…

I have the same problem, it worked just fine but in December it just stopped working I have an S3 pro, and the problem started with firmware 3.1.2.7 that was installed on 27 November.

I also dont see why an app update could solve this. To me it looks like a firmware problem in the camera or in the homebase 3 (firmware 3.7.4.6). My app is on ver 5.8.10

So I confirm the bug still exists

It makes me think about what happens with the doorbells firmware e340 in December, suddenly they all stayed draining all over the world. And only those that were actually connected to power supply…

I wonder if they do testing when they release firmware updates. And I mean regressive testing (set of all the attached devices still work correctly and the recording features still work)

@blackguru do you still have the issue?

A firmware update most likely caused the issue. Then the app code / handshake to activate snapshot wasn’t recognized by the camera any longer.
So an app update with new coding solved it.

And yes, they have blundered up firmware updates before, example bricking cams & HomeBase.
