I have a problem with my two eufycams S4 and my Homebase380. There is a “snapshot” feature that I would like to use. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. I have activated it on both cameras, but the images are not displayed in the timeline.
How are you powering the S4? Are you just using solar? To use snapshot (or 24/7 recording) you need to have a permanent power connection (else it would drain the battery too quickly for the solar panel to keep up).
Thanks for your reply. I realize that the snapshot function uses battery power. But my batteries are currently always at 100%. Nevertheless, the function does not work. No photos are taken. Does anyone know why?
@ogr10 that’s wrong. In the settings there is the option to activate. And as your see on the uploaded screenshot, there is a warning, that snapshot with battery mode will drain the battery a few percent.
Check to see if there’s a firmware update available for both the HB3 & S4.
eufyCam S4 Firmware: Version V1.0.5.4 or later
HomeBase 3 Firmware: Version V3.7.2.6 or later
Well something’s not taking.
I don’t have this camera, though I would go into Power Manager and then try to locate power source.
Should possibly see options like battery or solar possibly something that may say advance.
Try switching the the power sources and then switch them back to what they should be.
If you find an option that says wired try switching that on also then back off.
It says that snapshot mode also works with the battery. I activated the mode, but it doesn’t work. No matter what else there is to select, I’ve already switched everything “on and off.” Currently, I suspect that this is a bug in the firmware. It would be great if someone with an S4 could confirm the problem.
Yes it does, snapshot mode works with battery, I read the specs on it so there shouldn’t be an issue it also reads that 24/7 recording requires a wired power cable, but that doesn’t pertain to what you want to do and that is to use snapshot.
Hopefully someone with that camera will post here.
I do find it odd that both of the cameras will not allow you to use it.. I’m thinking possibly it has something to do with the app itself.
I have three S3 Pro cameras and snapshots used to work fine, recently they have stopped working on all cameras, even with one of them that is indoors and mains powered.
This system is very disappointing with numerous bugs that appear to be getting worse. When I first received them shortly after release, I had no issues with any features.
I have already had to have two cameras replaced under warranty.
Hello, the same thing happened to me. Snapshots were working with battery-powered cameras until a while ago, then they stopped working on all three S3 Pro cameras, and even old snapshot recordings are no longer available. I wrote to support and am waiting for a reply. S380 HomeBase System version 3.7.3.6, S3 Pro cameras System version 3.1.2.7.
So they will bring a new working firmware. Hopefully in this year
