I’m using the E340 doorbell with the HB3, hardwired at 24V, and it’s been working great. Live view loads quickly, notifications come through right away, and I haven’t had any delays or missed events.

- Yes, the E340 with HB3 is fast. Live feed connects quickly and overall performance has been really solid.
- You can use the E340 over Wi-Fi without the HB3, but I find it runs better when paired with the HB3. You also get local storage and better AI detection.
- For wired mode, you’ll need at least 16V. There’s nothing in the box that helps it work with 8V, and lower voltage can limit performance or make it function on just battery.
- Yes, when powered with 16V or higher, the doorbell can access better features like faster response times and pre-roll video.
- The E340 has a better processor than the T8210, which helps with speed and handling video.
- I’m also in Canada and I have no idea where the cloud hosting is for me, but it doesn’t seem to matter. Works well.
