The lights on one of my cameras is burned out. How do you repair that, replace the bulb? If so, where can you buy them or
They’re LEDs and they’re not user replaceable. Shouldn’t have burnt out, unless it had a catastrophic failure.
What camera model do you have?
I have the floodlight cam. Camera still works fine even the night vision works fine. It’s just the floodlights that don’t work. I have two cameras one still working fine.
I got a reply back from support and they informed me that just like you said they are not replaceable and because I’ve had the cameras for more than a year. They’re also not covered by warranty. Figures, but I won’t be buying these in the future that’s for sure. You would think that such a simple item as a LED bulb would be replaceable just like every other light that we have. You simply replace the bulb and keep moving. This is a poor engineering choice but I guess you gotta cut corners and building obsolescence somewhere anyway I’ve suggested that they put that in the manual so that future buyers will know. Thanks for your reply and the information.
Thanks,
John
That’s a good question
Hi,
Yeah unfortunately you can’t replace them, but you probably wouldn’t be able to find a replacement anyhow, as they use a flat panel with several LED tiny lights soldered to them.
Anyways LEDs should last you around 10 years.
I would say most likely the problem is inside the camera, some switching device that activates the lights to turn on.
Are you able to turn the lights on manually while in Live View?
Also I would try this, it might kick it in the butt to start working again.
Shut OFF the main power to the floodlight, wait 2 minutes then power back ON…
That really sucks. Disappointed to know the camera only gets 1 year. I hope mine lasts longer.

It can be repaired. Remove the outer shell and you will find the LED light board inside. You can replace the burnt lamp beads. What model is your camera?
