This is from my bee cam. if anybody know of a way to modify it so I could zoom in closer this is about 2 ft away from the hive. any closer and it won’t focus.
Have you tried different modes when you place it closer?

You would need to attach some kind of additional lens to the front. The issue fundamentally here is optical. The lens on the camera is a wide-angle lens designed to focus light from a wide field of view onto the camera sensor. What you want to happen here is the opposite, focusing the light from a narrow field. This is a reason why pro photographers use cameras with physical zoom lenses and lots of different lenses to switch out. Astronomers have to do likewise with telescope lenses to focus on different objects or sky regions, it’s the same fundamental physics. (I do some amateur astronomy.)
