Question. The home base 3 connects by Ethernet cable to my router. Does that mean it creates its own WiFi system that the cameras use to connect to it? Is pulling up video from the cameras quicker using the home base 3 compared to without it? Thanks.
New kit installed. Hb3 along with 4 e330 cameras, updated and installed. I returned the battery operated S330 cameras/HB3. I didn’t like being asked, “are you sure you want to keep this turned on?” after watching it for about one minute. So I’m going to give these 24 seven cameras, a try, depending on how this system works and if they really do make some firmware upgrades… as far as what is offered for the price and (easy installation). I expected to get a little bit more for my money, but so far it’s barely satisfactory. Hopefully they’ll do a lot of upgrades before my return window closes.

I think waiting is better than releasing new features or enhancements that are not developed right. They should not entice customers with exact dates as they will disappoint people. Announce it 1 week after UAT is passed. I would hope they do UAT.

I don’t think the eufy front door camera is very safe .It would take only less than a minute to insert tool to release camera and be off.
They could easily disguise them selfs

I thought the same so I have put a short Torx head screw in the hole where you put the pin tool.

It was just a small screw that I had in my bits box that was slightly bigger than the hole on the top. I can’t see how it no longer makes it water proof as the screw along with a tiny rubber washer seals the hole that otherwise would be open to the elements. And I can’t see how it would invalidate the warranty as it screws into the bracket on the wall not the actual doorbell. Just to clarify we are talking about the same doorbell mine is the E340

You can get them at any computer store.
8x zoom only works in live view. Recordings can only be viewed in roughly 2x-4x. I’ve notified Eufy of this issue. If you have a security breach, that’s when you need 8x zoom to identify persons and/or license plates. They (IA bot) said the comment would be forwarded to their Development Department. I suggest more people bring up this issue to get Eufy to come out with a software/firmware update.

I bought a small computer UPS fornthe HB3. Cost like AU$150, but worth it if someone cuts the power prior to entry.
