Does the Eufy Homebase 3 have a built-in battery or is it possible to add one in case of power outage ?

The HB 3 specification docs do not indicate it as having a built-in battery backup.
You could purchase an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and plug it into that.

@eufy-official , you suck!!! I bought two Solo Pro cameras last year and all was good thanks to your clever marketing. However, now I’m forced to purchase a HomeBase just to use these!? What the actual F! You don’t do that to paying customers. I will NEVER recommend your services again. And I’ll make sure everyone I know avoids purchasing your con-artist waste of space products! You’re an evil company and have put me out £200 on two cameras that have no use now. You disgust me!!!

I believe my system has been hacked and crazy corruption at a unbelievable level. I feel as if I have seen some shit I was not supposed to see yet I also have seen this with other cams and the idiots not being able to hide from the sun casting image on my trees, shead, and on my wall as if they are part of the family portrait. now I feel I have pissed them off because someone proved to my 12 year old daughter momma is not insain as they have looked at her in the bathroom window scaring her and won’t tell me who they are cops? Bad guys druggies trying to rob my shead again like SOME ONE is paying for this!!! Eufy BAD CAM??? I want answers NOW!!! I’m certainly believing EUFY DOES NOT WANT THIS CRIME ON THEM so I Suggest THEY WORK WITH ME and be ON THE Right Side of the LAW this is So CRAZY I could be paid millions if I ran this on You Tube or called in every DAM news… This is sick I’m disabled and dying of cancer and pancreatitis. I am also a ptsd and bipolar and they have made fake imagies to scare me or play with my head Well Times Up I believe

Is the home base 3 wifi or does it have to be connected to the Ethernet all the time
Wish the home base 3 had a back up battery like the home base 2 but it doesn’t
I jumped for the Homebase2 but I’m not going for Homebase3.
Integrate HomeKit into homebase3. Stop making us wait. Give us a beta testing program while you work things out at the very least. So badly disappointed, eufy. Not at all cool.
Need to integrate homekit into Homebase 3. Been waiting too long for this functionality. Yes, it will kneecap a lot of features, however, will welcome the sacrifice for the homekit integration.

Someone said / showed the battery backup for the HB2 will work with the HB3, though it’s not pretty…
Eufy will probably end up making one soon…?
Or you could just use a universal power supply (UPS) battery backup and plug the HB3 into it.

Disappointed. What is the use of facial recognition if you can’t link it to alarm settings. The alarm now recognizes me, say 40* per day, and sounds all the same. I should have stayed with homebase 2. There are no advantages upgrading to 3.
Major fail! You didn’t make any way to move connected devices over to the new homebase if people decide to upgrade.
A year later and I just found out this is still true… What a pain, I doubt I will be doing it and will probably just return the home base 3.
Hey Jak2408, could you please give an update? Do you have the WPA2/WPA3 option in your router and did you manage to connect the HomeBase 3 like this?
