Same issue here…
Any one know where I can get a 2.5 4-16TB hard drive for HB3
Bought two of these thinking I could store more video. I had bought 9 camera the wall lights S100 and floodlight pro 2. It turns out neither of these are supported for storage in the homebase 3. Very disappointed buying the homebase 3band then paying for two 4 terbyte SSD drive to find out it won’t work. The camera and homebase 3 do connect. You can use only the facial recognition. The enhance feature is also not available with these cameras. So, unless I am missing something don’t bother with the storage idea make sure your camera will work. Only see the S330 and S300 are supported for storage
The 4K cameras have average night vision and not much better than the 2K.
When using the HB3 there is a huge delay between when the Wall Light Cam recording event starts and the time that motion is detected. Basically it notifies me and AI shows an image of the person but the event playback is a solid 5-6 seconds behind that. So bad that the person has come and gone and I see no one on the recording! I switched back to internal storage to make it even usable.
Wall light is supported, but might as well not be. See my post 2 down from here.
I read somewhere on here where the same situation occurs once they connect their camera to the HB3 & use the hard drive storage for to record on _ is that some of the cameras that have a pre-buffer recording lose that ability.
Same situation. No issues with my S330 cameras
In my points of views, it is gonna coming soon
I have a home base 3 and it is connected to wifi with no ethernet. You can change it to be wireless in the app
Hey everyone,
This is fantastic information, I’ve been using the HomeBase 3 for a few months now and didn’t even realize it had the capability for expandable storage. The guide to installing an additional hard drive is especially useful.
Just a quick note for new users: Always make sure to back up any existing data on the hard drive you’re planning to use with HomeBase 3. I’ve learned from past experiences (not with eufy, thankfully) that it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Props to the eufy Security Team for consistently updating and informing the community. Your detailed breakdowns make it so much easier for us to utilize the features. Looking forward to more “Unlock the Power of eufy” posts in the future!
Cheers,
Asif
Has anyone found a Nas HDD RHATBIS 2.5” I am not doing so hot with it.
The advertised product descriptions state that homebase 3 can video 24/7 but it can’t. Please clarify,
What products does homebase 3 support video recording to ssd storage?
when will it be possible to cast cameras onto my 4K television, it would be a great addition to the systems capabilities?
It’s a little to soon to leave a review for my HB3. I’ve only had it in operation a week. After adding a Samsung HD I can no longer see the onboard 16GB memory only the SSD. What’s up with that? Will there be an update so we can see it?
I just decided to upgrade my homebase to the 3, luckily I was able to get the 50 dollar coupon code to still work
Man, that’s an interesting issue you got with your HB3. I had a similar hiccup when I tried swapping storage on another device. From my experience, adding a new drive sometimes takes over as the primary storage, and the onboard memory might not be as accessible as before.
Did you check your storage settings? Sometimes you have to manually switch between different storage options, but it should at least show both.
There’s a good chance an update might solve this issue, especially if it’s common. Keep an eye out for firmware or software updates from the manufacturer; they often patch these kinds of issues.
Hope that helps and you get to enjoy the full potential of your HB3 soon!
That’s correct,HDDs are often only available with max 2 TB, SSD are available with 4 TBs
