We just got the dual camera doorbell, and it doesn’t pick up anything farther than about 5 ft from the doorbell. Our old one picked up all of the way to the street, and this was supposed to be an update. Is anyone else having this problem.

Which model?

It’s the S330.

Use the included wedge mount to tilt the doorbell downwards at a 15-degree angle, ensuring the PIR sensor can better detect motion.

It’s already on the wedge.

In the Eufy app, ensure that your motion zones are properly configured to cover the desired area.

Already done, and I’ve followed all of the steps they’ve suggested.

Anything on the lens? When you view live footage is it nice and clear? Are you connecting to a homebase?

Yes, it has a great view, just no motion detection. Yes, it’s connected to the home base.

The only motion detection is about 5 ft from the doorbell.

Could you post a screenshot of Live View as to what the camera sees and also a screenshot of your Activity Zone…
Also what motion sensitivity do you have set for the camera?
Was the protective thin plastic sheet removed from the front of the doorbell?

Since this our second eufy camera, I’m familiar with their app, settings, etc. I just wondered if anyone had ever had the same problem that I’m having.

Maybe a problem with the unit itself call eufy support tell them you have tried everything and want it replaced. It’s still under warranty. i had a problem with a camera and they sent a new one through Amazon it arrived the next day. They emailed me a return label and i sent it back no charge to me.

I just sent them the info they requested this morning.
