Why is eufy so hit and miss all the time.
This shows courier dropping a parcel right under my e340 doorbell but no notification of parcel being left there.

I think it’s because it just blends in with what you have close to your door, I’m sure if it was placed further away the camera would have detected it.
Yes, @jd164 is correct. From the top-down view, the AI algorithm can not tell the object from a package since it lost the shape of Stereoscopic Information, and the white reflection on the left side addressed the false detection. If the package was put a little away, it should not be any issue.

I’ve noticed, it misses a lot. We’ve tested our camera and there was periods of 1-2hrs missing of activity. It seems to happen often idk why. We have the flood light camera. If you go on Reddit lot of complaints.
I have that same problem, has had the same problem since I had this system. 
Try playing around with your sensitivity. I find that i need to decrease sensitivity in the winter and increase it in the summer. The sunlight really lines up with the camera of my E340 doorbell
