Is it possible to add a second chime to my Eufy S330 wired doorbell that came with one chime?
The info on Eufy’s website is confusing. On a Eufy support page it says “One wired doorbell supports up to 4 chimes”.
However, when viewing the Eufy add on chime it says, “Works with Video Doorbell E340 and all upcoming eufy video doorbells. However, itdoes not support other eufy Security doorbells at this time”.
Does anyone know if I can get a second chime for my S330 wired?
So, I got my answer on Eufy support live chat. Here is the copy & pasted response.
“For the Eufy S330 wired doorbell, you can add up to 4 chimes that are specifically designed for this model. These chimes come included in the S330 wired kit and cannot be purchased separately.”
So, if I want to add a chime, I have to buy another S330 doorbell cam & chime kit when I have no need for another doorbell camera. I wish I knew that ahead of time. However, I am glad I only started with one doorbell cam before I got into an entire home security camera system. Oh well, I’m better informed as I begin my system search again.
Good info, thanks for the reply.
I was checking last night about your inquiry and found two chimes unfortunately they don’t work with your doorbell. One links to the home base and the other is a standalone chime.
While searching I did find a used chime and doorbell on eBay an s330 for 30 bucks.
You may want to ponder on that and then just use the chime.
Here’s 2 links for them if you’re interested: I am not affiliated with them…
Wow! So good of you to find & share that. Although the cameras are different models (8202 & I have the 8203) the chimes look identical to mine (cloth covered front) and not like the ones that come with the battery doorbells or the “Add on Chime” which have the plastic front with built in speaker grille. For $30 I’m taking the chance & just bought the first one you linked to. Thank you so much. I’ll be sure to post the results when it arrives.
Cool, glad to help… I would have done the same thing too if I was in need of a chime.
Eufy advertises that you can add up to five chimes to your doorbell, but they have none to sell unless you buy the whole doorbell kit
Not happening.
Well now you also have a spare backup doorbell cam to boot if needed.
On the bottom of the
Plug in chime there is a model number on it, when you get the replacement see if it is the same when you post the results back. Thx
Success! The 8202 camera & chime kit was just delivered. The camera is different, but the chime is identical. Couldn’t find directions for syncing second chime so I unplugged my first chime and plugged in this second one and setup the original camera all over again. When it came to chime, this second one connected just fine. When done with setup I re-installed the camera & plugged in both chimes and they both worked. I took the second chime out back to my detached garage, plugged it in and left all the metal doors closed. Second chime works like a champ. So, I got my add on chime for $30 bucks and an extra wired doorbell cam as well. Didn’t need a second doorbell cam but I’ll go ahead and install it on the garage looking back at the house. I’m so pleased with the outcome. Thanks again JD164.
The two chimes are the same model “T8742” and are identical in appearance except minor difference in the label.
