You guys that arnt getting the proper charge but don’t want to use a socket should look into getting an additional solar panel to keep them going… get a good one though not some rinki dink panel that’s not going to work any better than what your working with now…
With that being said you can get a light plug adapter or run either net wire wich will carry the plug in USB to charge it up occasionally… so far mine been staying g charged with the exception of my S340 which has been a little over sensitive on detection…
That’s another thi g you guys should look at… when your guys cameras aren’t charging to it fullest… you should turn down some of your settings… turn down the powermang down and we’ll as your recording mode to battery saving. Modes…
Ya it’s nice to have so.thing you can stick up on your place and it be plug and play but the do need optimal sunlight to charge… with that if you have it mounted behind d so.e trees or on the side of the house were it sits in the shade most of the day it’s not going to get enough sun to keep it charged…
That’s when you’d have seek other options maybe even go wired…
Also you guys with charging issues should set you activity zones to just what you need… saying that you don’t have to capture everything that goes on outside your living space and property… example would be every car that goes by or capturing your neighbors mowing there lawn… you might even try putting up some privacy zones that would block them out…
Hi,
I’ve reached out to eufy and sent them my log to their technical team to review.
it turns out that my camera was not located in a place where direct sunshine can be reached and that the intensity of the sun was not strong enough…. It doesn’t seem to charge in overcast weather.
The requirement and conditions for the built in solar paneK to charge is very specific, which is a bit disappointing. If only eufy would make it clear…
Hope that helps.
Mine has charged 0.3% via the built in solar panel…. Not very useful… it’s a good think they are releasing a cable soon that allows for it to be directly powered via the mains…. Lets hope the cable is long enough….
Must be hot and sunny where you are.
I haven’t had any problems yet only when the sun doesn’t shine.
Could be reversed cell in battery pack needs to be replaced. The bad cell drains the good ones. I have one eufycam2 like that. I solved my problem with a 10 watt solar panel. Powers up between 0.1% to 2.0% per day when sun shines and temp is above 0 Celsius (32 Fahrenheit). Only had to charge it once in past year.
If it’s still under warranty, send it back. I missed the warranty window.
I was hoping that it will at least charge few percent a day but it barely charges. Feels like the solar panel isn’t as great as other panels.
I am having the same issue…. The problem I have found is that the solar panel only charges whether it receives direct sunlight and the intensity of the ray is strong enough to charge it…
the solar panel does not charge in cloudy or clear sky conditions… it must be in sunlight…. Just wish eufy would make it clear in their advertisement….
i am considering purchasing their extension lead to provider direct power source once the cable is available.
eufy should ready provide the cable as part of the pack, but guess it’s another way for them to get more sells.
i hope the above is of some use… and good luck
