Hi,
I think there is a functional defect in the app or firmware of the homebase 3.
From what I read on your forums, this is a recurring problem, but it worked perfectly with the homebase 2
Hardware:
HOMEBASE 3
CAMERA S350
DOOR DETECTOR
What I want:
in HOME MODE
- For the indoor cameras to be in privacy mode because I don’t want to be filmed all the time when I’m home
- To protect myself from home-jacking, I want them to temporarily exit privacy mode when the front door is opened.
- I want them to film a sequence, at a specific position (2), in x3 zoom mode - When the recording is finished, I want them to return to confidential mode
What happens with my automation:
- HomeBase set to HOME mode: all cameras turn towards the wall: ok
- When the door opens, the camera turns to the desired position: ok
If the option “record a video on detection” is checked in HOME mode:
The camera is placed in position 2 and it will film in zoom*3
The camera does not then return to confidential mode, it remains active in detection all the time, in position 2 and zoom x3
It is reactivated, and continues to film me permanently each time I pass I have to manually switch all the cameras back to confidential mode in the application The zoom is stuck in x3 mode, I have to switch it back to x1 mode each time in the camera settings
NB: if I activate notification, sound alarm or camera light in my automation, these actions work well, even if they are not checked in HOME mode
If the “record a video” option in case of detection is not checked in HOME mode:
The camera is placed in position 2 but does not film anything It remains in position 2, zoom locked at x3
if the “automatic tracking” mode is activated in the camera settings, it follows me all day, without filming anything
At no time does the camera automatically return to confidential mode at the end of the automation!
I really don’t see the point of automations and confidential mode in this case, we should be able to write more detailed scenarios.
- we should be able to choose in which MODE the scenario is valid (HOME, AWAY, etc …)
- we should be able to use the cameras for a simple recording, independently of the detection function. Detection mode is great in OUT or NIGHT mode, but I should be able to use my cameras in some cases in basic recording mode, without having to activate detection.
ex: if “in HOME mode” and “OPEN DOOR” then camera 1: “EXIT PRIVACY” then “GO to POSITION 2 ZOOM x3” then “FILM 30s” then “BACK TO PRIVACY”
Each time I open a door, I have to go to the settings of all my cameras to put the zoom back to x1, then reactivate privacy
