Hi everyone,
I’m posting on behalf of a family member who wants to add some simple security at their front door. The only practical spot to monitor people approaching the door is from inside, looking out through a side window.
We’re hoping to keep things as cheap and simple as possible — ideally an indoor Eufy camera that doesn’t need constant recharging and is reliable for everyday use.
A couple of specific questions:
- Which indoor Eufy camera would you recommend for this setup?
Not worried about bells and whistles — just good motion detection and clear video through the glass, including at night if possible. - How should it be positioned to avoid glass reflections messing things up?
We’re worried about indoor lights and glare causing false triggers or poor footage. Should it be placed high and angled down? Off to the side? Any tried-and-tested tricks (e.g., blackout curtains, distance from the glass)? - Best mounting approach?
Any tips on how to keep the camera steady and aimed correctly without it needing frequent adjustments?
Thanks in advance — appreciate any real-world experience you can share!
