Buggy Face Management system

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I have a few E330 cameras connected to a Home Base 3 with a 16TB SSD. I’ve consistently had a problem where, when I go into the services section of the app and check the face management tab, whether it’s familiar or unfamiliar faces, I don’t always see the complete history when I click on a specific profile.

A common scenario I’ve noticed is this: when I go into someone’s profile, I sometimes see a “no recording events” message for their history. However, if I check the “first detected” section on their profile and navigate to that specific date, I can actually see their detection. It’s like the history isn’t fully populating in the main profile view.

Wow sorry I can’t comment on your issue but I love to know about your 16 TB hard drive what type and where you get it I’ve never been able to find one that big only a 5TB. 16 must have been $900.US. I tried a 5TB but had to return it because video play back was very glitchy I think the problem was the hard drive not HB3. Please respond to this if you get a email

Haha–my immediate thought was the same as ele1980: wow! 16TB!! I wonder what brand, where you got it, how much it costs, how long you’ve had it, etc…? (My concern about such a large drive is that when it fails, you lose everything. Also the speed of the recall as the amount of data grows. Assuming it’s possible, I’m thinking I will fill my smaller HD, replace it with a new one, and repeat…though it means I will lose the ability to easily recall events from the distant past.)
No clue about your human recognition question, though actually maybe my thought about the quantity of data has relevance: could it be that you have such a large amount that the software cannot thoroughly or efficiently synthesize what’s on the hardware? Maybe it is providing only the most recent?
Also, I don’t know if this has any relevance, but I’ve noticed recently that my events view is not always accurate. The newest events aren’t there. I’ll pull down to refresh and then the newer events that it did show are gone and I see only events from one camera… I don’t know if it’s an app glitch, phone glitch, network issue or what, but I did wonder if, as I’ve added more devices and data, there is a lag or a glitch in parsing the data…

i am highly assuming that the software not being able to gather the data necessary could be the case. But it should not be an issue to be honest, i have contacted eufy support but was getting the run around of sending them log files, restarted devices, etc. none that made sense.

For the people asking about the 16TB SSD, i am using the OWC brand and it has been performing very well so far. no issues with playback or saving videos on the HB3. i have had it for a while now and am using it with 4 E330 cameras - to be expanded to 8+ once renovation / construction on the house / workshop is over. With the 4 cameras recording 24/7 at the moment and some math, it would appear that i would be able to have about a years worth of data, with 8 cameras recording 24/7, around 6 months or less.
