Camera fails to trigger motion before the dog is right up the top of the garden (all motion detection and activation zone covers all the area)

Is the activity zone necessary? Can you post a screenshot of it.
You have the solar wall light cam, are you able to angle it away from the shed a little?
As straight on motion detection doesn’t perform so well, they prefer movement from the side.
Maybe you can place a spacer behind one of the mounting screws to pitch it.
Thanks for your reply, yes the activity zone is necessary as i dont want my neighbours to activate the camera, as you can see there is only a small fence dividing the gardens

Well, if you can try to pitch/angle one side the camera over so that you see the window of the shed to see if that helps/improves the detection.
