i have an existing XT9 mesh wifi network, separate 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi ssid’s, and connecting the S3 Pro to the XT9 works as long as they have good connection with the homehub, but placing the cam where it should go and therefore need to connect to the other stations in the mesh does not work at all…
it’s like the S3 Pro does not want to connect to any other member of the mesh…
there are over 30 devices connected to this mesh without any problem at all… (even one of the first wifi enabled wash machines which is a pita to configure)
so i really don’t understand what the problem is with connecting the S3 Pro if not really poor wifi implementation in such not so cheap camera…
i have disabled almost all settings that could tamper with being able to connect but those cams do not really seems to care…
so can anyone confirm that Eufy is not compatible with other wifi manufacturers (or even with Asus)
cause at this point i’m gonna return these cams since i can’t get them to work…
Are you using the Multi-Bridge option?
offcourse, how would i even be able to add them to my mesh wifi otherwise? did you read my post?
Sorry, I did read your post. Didn’t realize that’s an add on camera that only connects to the homebase and not just your home’s Wi-Fi unless you use multi-bridge, which was never mentioned in your post.
i do mention that the cam is S3 pro… the naming multi-bridge does not cover the load it implies…
the naming ‘Pro’ should also be omitted from the product naming…
So you’re saying the camera does connect to one of the mesh nodes via Wi-Fi but once you move the camera to where you needed it to be it won’t connect to the other mesh node automatically?

Non homebase WiFi support is abysmal
1 of the 4 cams ‘em won’t even connect at all…
And yes I already factory resetted it and added it again
That’s strange, the camera won’t jump to the next node for a better signal.
Might be some implementation that won’t allow the camera to do so or it’s locked on to that mesh node?? Though it shouldn’t matter all the mesh nodes are equal.
Maybe try it like this, if you haven’t done so yet. Connect the homebase via Ethernet cable.
Connect the camera to the homebase once that’s established move the camera to the desired mesh node you wanted to use.
Wait a little, See if the homebase prompts you to use multi bridge for that camera, if it doesn’t then initiate it through that cameras Wi-Fi settings.
And off course been there done that…
