Due to the rang

Due to the range of the HomeBase 3 being too limited for me to get a good signal on all of my devices, can I use an old HomeBase alongside the HomeBase 3 ?

You can have multiple home base. The HB3 can be set up on WiFi after initial setup so it doesn’t have to be plugged into the modem so you can move it closer to other cameras just needs a good wifi signal so probably best to split the difference between them. If you’re capable you can always run a network cat 5 cable to another location from your modem which is always better than WiFi. Not sure if HB2 has WiFi capability but that one can stay plugged into the modem

You can but The cross camera tracking wount work between all cameras

Thanks for the info

I have the HomeBase3 connected via Ethernet to the router and hoping to get the HB2 connected via Ethernet too maybe controlling just one camera at the back if the house

I just wish they would improve the range or have extenders

Even with the homebase 2 or 3 on 100%, they still don’t function as described. Spent 5 weeks to and firing with “customer support manager” Shane. Naff all been done.
I know more than they do about networking and their products it would appear as following everything I’ve explained in great detail, nothing has been done in 5 weeks

Should hope it works

Honestly, distance isn’t the issue it’s Eufy’s products in general. Having had a base 2 and base 3 in succession, the pile of faults and issues were/are immeasurable.
This is an excerpt from one of many ling videos I’ve sent to Eufy customer service manager and their “tech” team (although it became apparent I know more than them :joy:).
After 5 weeks of no resolutions or fixes (I’ve found some go right back to 2021), I’m done with the entire Anker collective of brands. They’re all as bad as eachother (hopefully they allow videos to be posted here, but even the app is buggy)

I tried this last week, it didn’t work for me. After adding SB2 I couldn’t install any devices to it, instead it just kept making me add a homebase, I gave up after about 12 tries and removed the homebase. But there was a new firmware release in the wee hours so you may have better luck now.
