E340 Floodlight Camera Connected to Homebase 3 recording at lower resolution

I have had the E340 Floodlight camera for several months and have recently added the Homebase3. I have noticed that sometimes, the recording will be in the full 3k resolution(2304x2592) or it will be in a much lower resolution( 1280x1440). I have homebase3 (version 3.6.5.9) with 1 tb ssd and E340 floodlight (version 1.5.9.5) .

Homebase 3 is connected via ethernet cable, but I have tried using it on wifi with it right next to the E340 camera. I have mutli-bridge set up for the E340 as well. I have reset the E340 camera several times and it does the same. I have tried having it record 24/7 and having it just be for events and the same, some recordings in 3k and other nots.

I cannot figure what is causing it to what it seems to be randomly switching back and forth on the resolution.

I think there is a setting that says best available or you can select always 3k. It is likely caused by the distance between the camera and the homebase. How many “wifi” bars do you see for the camera?

Yes you probably have it set to auto and it picks the best available

The camera shows 3 out 4 wifi bars. However, I am talking about the saved recordings which does not have an auto option. Just 3k, 1080p or 720p. I have it set to 3k.

Try 1080 and see if the quality continues to fluctuate (down to 720). For what it’s worth, I have been trying to figure out a similar issue and it seems like the HB signal to my camera is unstable, and in turn the quality and reliability of the recording fluctuates.
