E340 Placement in recessed porch

Hi all,

I am looking for advice on the best placement for my E340 video doorbell. I am thinking on the doorframe as marked on the picture. If I mount it there am I likely to get a poor image at night due to the IR bouncing off the brickwork surrounding the porch?

Also what are peoples thoughts on mounting on UPVC door frames?
