For about a month now, I’ve been unable to view live footage from my Eufy E21 camera on my iPhone. Live view still works perfectly on the standalone monitor that comes with the system.
The setup worked without any issues for around 5 months before this started happening. Now, on the iPhone, I constantly get an error saying that the live stream cannot be played and that I need to press the sync button.
Pressing the sync button sometimes restores the live view briefly, but after a short time the issue returns and live view fails again.
What I’ve already tried:
- Full reset of the camera and the app
- Re-adding the camera from scratch
- Creating a dedicated 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network
- Connecting both the iPhone and the camera exclusively to this 2.4 GHz network
- Power cycling and basically all common troubleshooting steps I could find online
Unfortunately, none of this has resolved the issue permanently.
My questions:
- Has anything changed recently on Eufy’s side (firmware update, app update, iOS compatibility) that might cause this behavior?
- Are there any less obvious troubleshooting steps I can still try?
- Are other users with an E21 camera and an iPhone experiencing similar issues recently?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. At this point, it feels like this may be related to a software, app, or cloud-side issue rather than the hardware itself.
Thank you in advance.
