Hi
I am new to the community and looking for advice mainly from UK users. I Have just purchased a Eufy S330 video door bell and you can see from the pic that I need to upgrade to a 16V transformer to supply power as I believe 16V is the lowest I need but I dont understand why the transformer is upside down. I have not removed the cover of the supply to see how its wired.
any help would be great
Not 100% sure what I’m looking at? The middle box looks like it says input voltage 220-240 volt and output is only 8 volts not 16. Not sure what the other boxes say. Do you have a better picture?
Hi. I’m in the UK and your photo seems to show that the power supply (actually a transformer) is plugged directly into a RCB socket of your consumer unit! I assume there is a cable from that unit that goes to your existing Friedland doorbell? TLC seem to supply 8v transformers like yours but not 16v. Does the S330 require AC or DC?
Hi
The doorbell requires 16v to 24 V to provide enough of a charge. My friedland was only 8V so i swapped out the 8v for a 16V one as the bell box says max of 16V so did not want to go higher. It turns out the Mains feed is coming from the top as with all the other circuits, hence why its upside down and the low voltage wires are coming from the bottom. All solved now.
