Eufy Security App shows camera turned off, but it's ON

I just updated the app on my phone.

When I view my cameras, they all appear as they normally would.

EXCEPT my Outdoor Cam Pro. Now it always shows “Camera has been turned off”. If I turn it on via the app, as soon as I go back, it just shows the same message.

The camera is still working, detecting humans, and sending alerts.

I tried deleting and re-setting the camera, but it’s still the same. I think it must be an issue with the latest version of the app ?

Same issue but it’s with 1 of the 2 of my indoor cam 2K. The other one works as expected. But this one says it’s been turned off and turning it on produces the same results as you. It is definitely on, connected to the network, and to my homebase 3

my doorbell has been plsying up the past few days…… not sure if it’s related to your issue as you’ve got indoor cameras.xxx but it’s so frustrating

Well done, always good to keep updated

Same here with the Indoor 2k camera. Looks like something they did since it’s over multiple devices

Same problem. Started right after I updated the app. Contacted Eufy Support, totally useless. You would think that they would test out the app before releasing it. Not the case.

Any good?

Post all issues with app to social media Facebook Etc maybe time to shame this company seeing they don’t want to fix their messed up apps that they keep putting out

App sucks

Try force quitting the app. Then clear the app cache. You could also try closing the app and rebooting your device.

:grinning:

Lots of reports on reddit where latest updates of homebase 3 has caused issues with cameras.

If the app itself is outdated, that can also cause incorrect status updates. While troubleshooting smart home apps, I usually keep useful apps organized in one place, including FlixHQ for iOS , which has been handy for entertainment when testing devices or waiting for updates to finish. Hopefully, one of the basic troubleshooting steps gets your camera reporting correctly again.

Good suggestions. Would have been my exact same. Also contacting Eufy not a bad idea, always responded or over responded when I’ve reported an issue. I hate updates as they always mess up my setups, just when you have it all tweaked they mess with it by sending updates.
