Hi am new to eufy. Previous been with ring from day one.
I just had eufy doorbell e340 installed, but when the button is pressed, my eufy chime is makes the ring tone, BUT on my iphone i dont get ring tone, am only getting a silent notification. Please help, this is annoying me, been trying to sort this all day today.
Hello! Sorry to hear you are having some troubles there. If you are getting the chime with your doorbell, but not on your phone, you can try the following:
Double check your notification settings to make sure notifications are enabled for the eufySecurity app.
Check your doorbell’s settings to make sure motion detection is enabled in your camera’s settings.
Check the security mode settings to make sure push notifications are enabled.
Make sure your app has the proper permissions on your phone.
Give these a shot and if you are still experiencing the issue, please let us know.
Hi Jesse, thanks for getting back to me. Let me explain my set up. I been using Ring, for the start they release there products. I had two ring doorbells. Two indoor chimes v2. Two floodlight camera. 4 spot light camera. On my iphone i always got notification and a ring tone. When here was motions detection, i got message. When the doorbell was pressed i got notification and tone on my iphone, and on my chimes indoor.
Now, i have replaced, all my ring products with Eufy. I got 2 e340 doorbells. Two floodlight camera e340. I got two solar s330 and i got two solar s340 wireless. With 2 eufy chimes too. Spent big money.
Let me explain my problem. When there is motion detected. I got notification on my iPhone. When doorbell is pressed, my chime goes off at home( as it should) But all i get on my iphone is notification, not a ringing tone. I have check app setting. Every thing is set correctly. See attached images
Why am i not getting a presto tone on my iphone when doorbell is pressed?? My iphone is not on silent mode. Please help me. I spend loads of money and i expect this system to work.
Apologizes if you have already done anything I suggest. Just want to make sure we are covering all possibilities to get this resolved for you.
First, just making sure your phone isn’t on silent. I know this is an obvious one, but again, just making sure we cover everything
I see you mentioned you have your app settings all configured and provided the screen shots. Appreciate that. Do you also have your phone’s settings set up as well? I only ask because I have run into something similar as well and it was because my phone’s settings (not in the eufy app but in my iPhone’s apps permissions) I did not have sounds turned on. Just for reference, this is found by going into your phone’s settings, then Notifications and selecting the eufy app.
If that is all configured appropriately, then do you have an Apple watch? I have seen reports where if the notification is received on your watch, it sometimes will not chime on your phone. You can try turning the notification off on your watch and seeing if that helps.
While you try those, I will ping the team here and see if there is maybe something I am missing. Let me know if any of those work and I will keep investigating for you!
