Hi, I have the E340 eufy video door bell. I want to be able to hear when someone presses the bell on my iPhone and even though I switched all the app permissions on on my phone I only get a notification on the screen when someone rings the bell. It’s connected to Alexa in the house and that works fine but when I’m in the garden I can’t hear it. My old video bell used to chime on my phone. How do I set it up so this one does that too? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I went to notifications and set it up the way it is on your pictures. Pressed the doorbell and still all I got was a message that said that someone pressed the doorbell. Alexa reacts ok but not my phone.

okay then try tapping on where it says Ring Alerts Default.
A new page will open App Alert Tones, pick a different sound and then see if it will work after you change to a different sound.
Forgot to ask, do you receive a sound and notification when motion is detected?
you have to have the sounds for everything enabled on your phone. If you have it on “silent” it won’t make the doorbell noise. But if you turn on all the sounds you’ll also get noise for text message, ring for calls etc.

I’ve tried that. I’ve changed the sounds for both ring tones and motion detection. Nothing.
When it detects motion it beeps lightly and sends a notification. Same when someone presses the bell.
I’ve done that. It’s all enabled. Got annoyed and disconnected it from Alexa. Now it rings only on my husbands phone. Mine still only gets a beep and a notification.
I checked the WiFi, settings on my phone I don’t know what else it could be. Phone’s not on silent as it rings normally when someone calls me.

Ho. Did you ever get this fixed? I have the same issue (iPhone and Alexa). Is disoconnecting from Alexa the fix?
Maybe there’s a setting on your phone that’s overriding the eufy app sound?
You say you get a beep sound when the doorbell button is pressed…
Check in the settings of your phone to see if a sound is set for the doorbell button.
You can choose the sound that plays when a notification arrives for an app.
- Go to Settings
> Notifications. - Tap an app below Notification Style, then turn on Allow Notifications.
- Tap Sounds, select a sound, then tap
at the top of the screen.
Hi, I’m afraid I haven’t fixed it yet. Disconnecting Alexa did nothing. I even uninstalled the eufy app and installed again. Still getting message only when the doorbell goes off.

Does a sound option screen open up if you tap on the sound?

No, the sound doesn’t open. It’s only on and off kind of thing.

The notifications are on. I do get a message when the bell goes off but no ringing on my phone. My old video bell did make my phone ring so I know it’s possible.

Have you restarted your phone since then? Sometimes things don’t take effect until afterwards.
I’ve just restarted it and it changed nothing. It would have been hilarious and awesome at the same time if switching it on and off worked
