Hi , can anyone tell me why the doorbell doesn’t stay attached to the door mount . It is placed on a pvc door.

Is the little spring loaded hook that locks it into the bracket stuck in the unreleased position? Usually you use the small tool to push it in to release it from the bracket maybe it didn’t spring back
