Hi, I have three Eufy cameras currently acting solo. Is there a mode with which I could use the Homebase in the local LAN and connect the cameras when a wireless network is available only? And would it be possible while the wireless network is offline, that the cameras write to their local storage and sync this to the Homebase whenever it is available?
As far as I know, your cameras connect to your Homebase via Eufy’s proprietary wifi link as long as you pair them to the Homebase 3. It doesn’t depend on your existing home wifi.
There’s only a couple of models of Eufy cameras that use multi WiFi it’s called bridge network where it will either use the home base 3 network or your WiFi network which ever one is stronger at the time if your model has this option I believe it is under general then WiFi
When you tap on WiFi connection it will give a list of available networks pick and enter password it thinks about it for a moment then connects but again this is only on a few models other than them you can’t
Yes I now that there is the option bridge network. But that is only the first step and it works fine, I tried it once. But still you need to decide if the cam should use the Homebase or the local storage.
My setup would be to have a Homebase in the local LAN, and cameras on a WLAN that is not available all the timje. The cameras should use the Homebase’s storage if they are online and the local storage if they are offline. When getting online the locally stored data should be synched to the Homebase.
