I have several cameras that are individually connected to the internet, I’m wondering if having a Homebase can eliminate each camera connecting individually to the network? Does all cameras connect to the Homebase and then only the Homebase connects to the Internet?

es, but you still have to follow the steps to connect each camera to your homebase. Using PoE cameras saves you the trouble; just plug in the network cable, and the cameras will automatically add themselves. 
Yeah, your cameras will connect to the HomeBase using its own Wi-Fi that it puts out, that Wi-Fi is kind of like a repeater it’ll use the same channel that your home Wi-Fi is using.
You can connect the HB via an ethernet cable and then after the setup is complete you can have it connect to your home’s Wi-Fi if you want to..
The location of the HB is a factor, you’ll want to place it in a central location so that your cameras will receive a good Wi-Fi signal from it.
As far as connecting the cameras to the HB, since they’re already set up you maybe able to just transfer them to the HB using the cameras settings..
Just confirm that your cameras will work with the HomeBase.
