I have two S3 Pro. I’d like to know if the Human only detection works the same at night and with “away mode”.
They seem more sensitive at night and when I enable this mode. Especially with cats. I hope they don’t detect all motions but are able to only identify people. Maybe just a matter of training?
At the moment I’m contact with the support, but I’d like to know your opinions.

I know the earlier cameras (4 yrs old) was if you selected Human only, then when night time came it would select all motion as to not miss any activity. Though there was an option you could choose so it would not engage for all motion.
I would think they would have perfected this by now, research and development.
Away or Home modes would not have any effect on how motion is detected.
Why is it flashing on and on?
It’s the light alarm setting.
Ok, I have way more options and nothing related to night behaviour. So it should differentiate humans, animals, cars, etc. Maybe at night it’s still difficult for the AI to identify everything.
At the moment I’ve enabled the animal detection, so I can train more the cameras. I need to remember to disable the option at night so I don’t have an heart attack
So how is that flashing adding any value - is it to scare off the intruder? Just checking the value as it makes the video capture unusable to figure out who the intruder is?
Just asking?
Maybe it’s cycling between light and IR?
Yeah, it’s to scare off the intruder, but maybe the siren is good enough. Anyway the identification is not essential here. Police won’t do anything.
Exactly! I think the audio warning is more helpful to scare away humans. Flashing lights are for wildlife
They’ve just added an option to turn on the light (no flashing) with every motion detected, independent to the type of night vision.
Didn’t think of that, glad I read this
I had the same question, a little lost.
I’ve had this happen with other video devices…
Suppose to be motion of the cat triggering the Light alarm.
Love cats
Is that flashing ir?
