just wondering about ai event detection: when an event is flagged as “pet” (or whatever) and you go to the screen that says, “is this a pet?” yes or no, does your selection help train/refine the AI on your local device? for example, I keep getting squirrels flagged as pets, and I’m wondering if I start marking “no,” then will my system eventually understand that I don’t want videos of squirrels and/or stop marking squirrels as pets?

I think it is about training your local homebase to understand which video contains a pet. If you mark true footage that contains a pet as not a pet you will confuse it and get a worse identification instead of avoiding future misidentification

Yes and no, Farm. It’s slightly more complicated than that. I think the AI algorithm is trained using historical data AND reinforced by users’ feedback including your local home station and maybe others alike. Hope I’m not mistaken terribly here ![]()
I still call squirrels and other animals pets so not to confuse AI as it’s nothing
wildlife for anything that is not a pet
