Latest app update (v4.8.5_2098) on Android

Hello all - the app on my Pixel 6a updated a couple of days ago, and since then I have noticed:-

  • Tracking config on the “AI edge” tab has disappeared (configure device groups etc). Tracking still seems to be working.
  • Cannot set “AI Empowerment” on any camera in my S380 config (the box ticks, then immediately unticks, then exist config).

I have tried rebooting the S380HB & reinstalling the app. All of these things worked fine before the update.

Anyone else experienced any of these?

You need to submit a help ticket and log.

Given the Eufy is very weak in Android app. Their siftware team may never be able to fix the issue they created.

If Eufy can’t fix the issue, best solution is revert back to an older version of the app where your issues aren’t happening. You can sideload older versions from sites like APKMirror.com or APKPure.com. I have used both of these sites for several years without any issues.

Note: APKMirror will usually show you 2 apps with the same version number. One will be only the Eufy Security app, the other will be a bundle of apps that includes Eufy app. Don’t select the bundle version or you can get a bunch of other apps in your download that you don’t want.
