How can I migrate my cameras from homebase E to My new homebase 3?
Is E 2? If so as I recall you just disconnect 2 add 3 and then add each camera individually to homebase 3
No it’s not the homebase 2.
From Google- To migrate your eufy HomeBase E devices to HomeBase 3, update the eufy Security app, ensure both HomeBases are on the same network and have the latest firmware, and then follow the app’s prompts to transfer your devices and data.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
- Preparation:
Update eufy Security App: Make sure you have the latest version of the eufy Security app installed on your smartphone or tablet.
Update Firmware: Update the firmware on both your HomeBase E and HomeBase 3 to the latest versions.
Network: Ensure both HomeBases are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. - Migration Process:
App Prompt:
Once both HomeBases are set up and on the same network, the eufy Security app should display a migration reminder or prompt to transfer devices.
Follow App Instructions:
Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to initiate the device migration process.
Device Transfer:
The app will guide you through transferring your devices (cameras, doorbells, etc.) from HomeBase E to HomeBase 3.
Data Transfer:
You can choose to transfer your videos and other data along with the device configuration.
Confirmation:
You may need to confirm the transfer process by pressing the SYNC button on HomeBase 3.
Optional:
After the migration, you can delete the HomeBase E from the app. - Additional Notes:
Data Transfer Time: The data transfer time will depend on the amount of data you have.
Connectivity Issues: Some users have reported connectivity issues with HomeBase 3, so it’s worth testing the performance of your devices after the migration.
Compatibility: Ensure that all your eufy devices are compatible with HomeBase 3.
Expandable Storage: HomeBase 3 offers expandable local storage, which can be useful for storing large amounts of video data.
So what do I do if there is no automatic “App prompt" to migrate?
Double check all of the points in step 1, in particular check both homebases are on the same network. Try restarting both HomeBases one at a time
Yes, l’ve done that a couple times already double checking everything. Thanks for the suggestions but I think I’m going to have wait till the weather warms up and break out the ladder. I wish it could of been easier but I guess not.
