According to the description of this camera:
“360° Camera Coverage Keeps Track of Detected People: Pan 360° horizontally for a complete view. AI identifies people and tracks their movements. Auto-patrols on a schedule.”
“The telephoto camera captures details from up to 50 ft (15 m) away, while the wide-angle camera focuses on the big picture in 3K resolution. Dual cameras provide up to 8× digital zoom.”
While both of these claims may be true individually, they are an either / or, not both. When AI motion detection is enabled so that the camera will track movement, the recording only takes place at 2K resolution. That is the combined total for both cameras, not 2K each. This is true even when you enable 3K recording in the camera’s settings, it will be ignored and recording will only take place at 1920 x 2160. Confirmed with support that this is the intended behavior.
This is not disclosed anywhere that I have been able to find. Given that the 3K + 2K cameras and motion tracking are the main selling points of this camera, it is highly misleading to “forget” to disclose that those features are mutually exclusive.
Eufy, why are you deliberately misleading the buyers of this camera?
