I recently purchased and installed the S4 outdoor camera and its ability to follow and zoom in is impressive. However the detection even on the highest sensitivity struggles (at highest settings for range and sensitivity) . I know the distance is marked as 40 feet or something similar but seems less from my tests. Has anyone attempted using a motion sensor outdoors to help trigger the recording at a further distance? I have deer eating my trees and they are out of range of the motion detection but 150+ feet within the viewing of the camera.
Eufy has great cameras quality wise but they seem to have a choke point in capability when it comes to detections. Makes the quality of the camera useless if it doesnt know when to record. Some sort of outdoor detection enhancements either by software updates or a dedicated outdoor device would be really useful. Am i missing any options other than the motion sensor?
