Focus on collecting points by donating video until you can get a discount I guess, they are wonderful cameras and now mine has 24/7 recording when I hard wire it with a USB C cable.

Nice mounting rig you came up with!

Thanks, the only downside is because the camera is heavy when it’s super windy, the gutter isn’t very rigid so the camera shakes up and down vertically a bit, otherwise, it’s holding up well!

How cold does it get out there? Do they still perform well despite the cold? And especially interested in the solar power charging during the winter for you.

Here in central Canada I’ve had to take down my cameras(s340 and s230) twice already this winter to charge them up indoors. A real pain. Initially thought I could tweak settings to slow power drainage down but even with that slight improvement, fact of the matter is I would still have to take them down.

Right now it’s still going strong, currently -17° C as I’m typing this. I permanently hard wired mine with the official USB C cable from eufy since this camera gets 24/7 continuous recordings once you do that, so I can’t comment on battery life, but the battery life was still over 90% before I hooked it up permanently around Nov 29th when it wasn’t as cold as it has been recently.

Yea, it’s a pain if you have to take them down, but another option could be to connect a long USB cable and run it through a window or door into your home temporarily and then plug it into a wall inside or hook it up to a portable power bank. I’ve done both of those before since I didn’t want to dismount the cameras.

Ah I see. That’s a good solution. Ironically it just happens to be the sunniest day today in the last couple of weeks and I’m charging the camera indoors right now ha. Thanks for this info.
