No Recording, Mode Change Stuck, Doorbell Offline

I am trying to figure out whether this is a known Eufy/HomeBase issue before I start removing and re-adding devices.

My setup:

S380 HomeBase 3
8 Cameras: all S3 Pro
Hardwired Doorbell
Firmware: up to date

About 7-10 days ago, my Eufy system started having 3 problems at the same time:

  1. My hardwired doorbell is always offline. Can’t see anything. No notifications.
  2. I cannot manually change Security Mode. For example, when I try to change from Home to Schedule or another mode, it just keeps loading, and nothing actually changes.
  3. Cameras still show Live View, although sometimes laggy, but they are not recording any motion events at all. When I go into the event/history page, there is nothing.

Phone notification settings are enabled, but at this point I do not think this is only a notification issue, because there are no recordings either.

I already restarted the router and Homebase, but it did not help. I have not removed or re-linked the cameras because Live View still works, so I do not think the cameras themselves are fully disconnected.

Has anyone else seen this recently? Could this be related to a Homebase firmware issue, storage issue (I use Samsung SSD), server-side sync issue, or app bug? Any suggestions before I try a factory reset or re-pairing devices?

Thanks.

Hi, well I’ve had this happen a few random times with my OutdoorCam Pro.
Similar to that, Live View works, but motion detection stops or unable to view recent recordings.
I had to remove the camera and re-added back to the app…
Just try removing one of your cameras, and resync it back to see if it fixes the issue…

What firmware are you running? Eufy “staggers” the firmware so even though it may say “up to date”, it may or may not be the latest. There seems to be a widely reported issue with version 3828 for some people at the moment. I’m on this version and have no problems but there are quite a few users reporting similar issues of cameras of even the HB showing as offline in the app. If you ARE on this FW, unfortunately all you can do is wait until they come up with a fix. You may try the steps below, but they may not work.

  1. Check to make sure you’re on the current/latest version of the Eufy app from the store.
  2. Power cycle the Homebase (unplug the Homebase, give it a minute, plug it back in).
If the power cycle doesn’t remedy anything:
  3. Pull the SSD temporarily (while the Homebase is unplugged) and power it back up. See if things work any better. You may need to give it 10 or so minutes so the built in storage can “collect” clips. If you do see clips and things work a bit better, unplug the HB and reinstall your SSD.

If none of this works, you could try pulling the camera but I highly doubt all of your cameras have issues.

GL, let us know.

Hello,

I have same problem.
HomeBase2 version 3.4.1.8h
Of my 20 devices (all up to date), none of them are sending notification messages, and this has been the case for several days now.
I’ve run all the tests and realized that, for example, the cameras no longer detect movement. And my door/window sensors no longer send notifications either.
