Outdoor Cam pro problem with firmware version 2.0.8.0

I have three Outdoor Cam Pro C24 cameras that were updated to firmware version 2.0.8.0.

With this version, AI empowerment through HomeBase became available.

The problem is that if the cameras are disconnected from power, they no longer work. At the moment, I have two cameras that have stopped working, and I am unable to add them back to the app.

It seems that the new version removed the camera’s ability to work in standalone mode. Even though the camera is connected to HomeBase, it needs to connect to Wi-Fi during startup, but it fails to do so.

I also can’t reset the cameras.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Yes, same here. Waiting for a solution.

I’ve had issues with older cameras, (2-3 years old) and have upgraded, I have no issues at this time, I’ll keep everyone posted though

I’ve also seen a Lenox system logged into my account on Saturday, how can these people do this? I’m constantly changing my password

They already gave me the solution, 30% discount on the purchase of a new eufy camera or if possible, return within the warranty period.
Not great.

So, there is no software fix possible then? This is not good at all.

I have seen on other forums dedicated to Eufy cameras, a lot people are having the same issue with the latest firmware update.

At this point, it is not an isolated incident and anyone that is using the new firmware to connect those old C24 and even the old 2K pan & tilt camera to the homebase, are having the issue eventually.

At some point, the camera will lose connection to the homebase and there is no way back to add it to the homebase or directly to the Internet modem as before as the WiFi on the camera seems to be malfunctioning with the new firmware.

Some people are hard resetting the 2K pan & tilt multiple times until it works, but no luck for anyone with the C24.

Still waiting for someone from Eufy team to provide a valid solution for the C24.

Same here. I’ve 5 of the Outdoor DCam Pro and only 1 working right now after updating the firmware to 2.0.8.0. I also have 2K Floodlight and 2x indoor cam 2k, those are working, but sometime it’s slow when I try to use pan feature. Sometime I can’t connect to the floodlight too. I think it may be an issue with the Homebase 3 or the Multibridge Wifi Settings. I also switched to a different router, but same issue.

Just received an email from support.
Eufy will release an app update to try to solve this problem, scheduled for March 31st.
Fingers crossed!

Same here all three of my outdoor cameras are now offline, unhelpfully happened the week that there’s been a bit of a run of break ins locally. In stand alone mode these cameras were great, I thought getting the homebase would bring features, not just brick all of my security. What a waste of time and money.

2nd April and still no update to fix this, I can’t imagine it’s going to be an easy one as they’ve effectively killed the internal WiFi of the cameras, so no way to connect to anything to get the updates installed.

In the same boat. No answers still and they’ve been dragging it out. Started a new thread with them today. I’m about to say screw it and throw every single camera in the the trash. Put something else up. This is ridiculous.

Just exchanged a few emails with Eufy support on this subject and they don’t seem bothered by the fact that their update bricked my camera. Manufacturers of other devices have repaired or replaced in the couple of instances I’ve experienced like this before.

Not great and pausing my purchase of any more Eufy products for the time being as them being written off by glitchy updates after just a year is unacceptable.

I have 4 Outdoor Cam Pro C24 AKA S210 & E220 cameras that were updated to firmware version 2.0.8.0.
No issues here, but they’ve always been connected to my home’s Wi-Fi, no HomeBase.
If I understand this post correctly the problem occurs if you attempt to connect it to HomeBase3, attempt to change its Wi-Fi connection or unplug the power supply camera gets bricked?
I’ll be following this post…

Mine were connected to homebase correct. And if they were, there is no way (at least for now) to un-brick them. The cameras simply do NOT see a wifi to connect too when you try to re-pair them.

They are sending replacement if they are under warranty. If they are +1 year they will ignore your request even if you had 8 of them working and now they are all bricked. 100% they are getting sued. Check the reddit post. They must have pissed off the wrong person lol. And for me, im never buying their stuff for the exact reason.

Have you heard any updates?

It’s past March 31st now. 2.0.8.0 is still the latest firmware available it seems. However, NONE of my C24 cameras can find a firmware update any longer (even the ones still on 1.x).

Is it possible that Eufy has pulled all updates for this camera?

Nothing so far.

Same here,
The S330 cameras have do periodicall not connect to the HomeBase3.
HomeBase3 is connected Wifi and says it is connected to the cameras, but when trying to see ral time view from the cameras it does only connect periodicall. Totally random.
This was NOT like this before the SW update.
eufy is on tis way to totally ruin verry good system that was relibale.
eufy has to fix this SOON, there is NO use having a securety system you only can view periodically.
