I’m having problems with my outdoor lights and issues with them being managed by 2 apps.
They are now configured in the old Eufy Life app and the new Eufy app.
I had configured LuminaLink in the life app to do the “Hello Hello Light” when my wall light/camera detects a person.
I now also have the lights via the Eufy app to turn on xmas lights in the mornign and the evening.
Now for the problems. The Eufy Life app now refuses to connect to the lights via WiFi. I tried to set-up the “Guardian Light” to be triggered at night. No matter what I do it refuses to connect to the lights via WiFi.
OK, so I’ll do it via the new Eufy app using an automation. I don’t know when this happened but my automations now only show my outdoor lights as available for an action, I have 4 eufy cameras includign a doorbell and I used to be able to trigger recording, that’s now gone.
OK, so at least I can trigger my lights, right? Well for some reason the nice effects available in Eufy Life “Hello Hello Light” = Welcome1 lighting mode and “Guardian Light” = Alarm1 lighting mode are nowhere to be found in the Eufy app.
so i have 3 issues:
Eufy Life won’t connect to my lights via wifi any more so I can’t disable the luminalink welcome automation.
Main Eufy app doesn’t have the same effects available as the Eufy Life App.
My home automations now only offer my outdoor lights as an action.
As you can imagine I’m getting pretty frustrated by how this is all working. I’ve been thinking about moving to a different system due to Eufy being so closed in terms fo automation and this isn’t helping.
