Say I have a couple of cameras I been having trouble sinking. A little indoor 2K and an E220… Every time I try to sink, a pop-up comes up saying, “Connect to your router first before your HB.” So I press OK, and it goes right back to scan mode.
So I repeated the prosses more than enough, and all I get is the same pop-up saying connect to your router first…
I contacted Eufy, and all they said was to check the update on the HB, and that should be version 3.3.2.6 or high… I’m currently running V3.6.1.4…
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated… Thanks in advance…
oH, one other thing, my other cams sinked fine. It’s just these couple of cams I’m having problems with…
I’m running off Spectrum Internet … I’m not quite sure what the Maga hertz are, but I was right next to the HB and the modem when I tried…
Mine worked fine it’s been awhile. but isn’t there a QR code it wants you to scan on the bottom as part of set up?
I just looked you have to definitely scan the QR code that’s on the camera itself as part of adding a new device you do that with your phone but you have to make sure you allow Eufy security app to access your phone camera todo it after it’s been successfully added then you can add it to home base through that camera settings
Somewhere i think you have to enter your WiFi password to
Ya I can’t get pass the scanning on these couple of cameras…
I scan then the pop occurs, I press ok, then the app prompt me to scan again…
Repeat cycle, enough to drive you insane…
The pop up just says sync to router before HB… then after primps me to re scan again just to get the same pop up again…
Then I believe it asks for your wifi name then wifi password? It should work after that. You are next to the homebase and modern i think you said? If i remember it says be within 3 feet. If all else fails I think factory reset on most cameras are pushing sync button 5 times or maybe hold down for 20 seconds sorry can’t remember but try. of my 14 cameras and 6 water leak sensors I’ve only had a issue once installing a new device but it worked the 2nd try. Good luck i saw you said you talked to customer service already try them again I’ve had good experience with them just don’t let them blame it on a update it should work on even older updates
Thanks I’ll try that that… It was getting pretty frustrating… Even more so when I contacted customer service, AKA the experts…
All they mentioned was somthing about the strength of the wifi, which didn’t really offer any kind of solution, since it was already above what they said was recommended…
Alright I got it… I tried reseting it like you said, and ya the home manufacturers reset hit on both of them…
But it still didn’t sync… my last try I finally got it, I was about to give it up and chalk it up as being faulty product… But in the end, I had to manually put in the the QR code u det the stamp and then, it finally ca.e through and sank…
So yeah, if that ever happens to you, try manually putting in the QR code…
