Iā€™m all for change but please donā€™t stuff this up! Hopefully some new features Iā€™ll be excited about otherwise if it ainā€™t broke donā€™t fix it. :see_no_evil:

Be awesome if it helps that sometime I have to reset the camera or system because it stops picking up some motions at times

My app keeps picking up plants as people. Quite annoying!!

Would be nice if you could get the 2K camera doorbell to actually work with Alexa routines!

Please donā€™t start making us have to pay for use of our cameras? Itā€™s the only thing that sold me on your cameras! I donā€™t want to pay monthly fees for the cameras that I purchased! Donā€™t be like all the others?

Iā€™ve never seen an app upgrade from any manufacturer that didnā€™t screw up the user experience. Customers spent time learning to navigate the system, donā€™t make them have to learn it all over again just for the sake of offering " a new and improved " experience. Change is never good except from a vending machine!

As you now mentioning it, they will be starting to think that would be their next plan.

I used to be able to record for longer than 2min. Now it only letā€™s you record for 30sec before it goes back to 0.

The success of EUFY is down to Ring charging a subscription to view footage. It would be extremely foolish to move to subscription after the user outplayed for expensive hardware!

The ā€˜trackingā€™ feature (pan/tilt) is VERY nice ā€¦ however, having the camera ā€˜zoomā€™ in (for greater detail) would TRULY make your products remarkable!!

UPDATE: Thanks for the many responses to my original message. That said, my initial post suggested that the tracking software engage the cameras internal optics and ā€˜automaticallyā€™ zoom in (while actively tracking the target).
Iā€™m well-aware that (manually) zooming the camera or enlarging the video is an option. Unfortunately, that would require manual intervention while tracking the target. Alternately, video is not a high resolution medium and quickly loses details and definition as we digitally enhance it to discern objects at mid to long distances.
Having the software ā€˜optically zoomā€™ the camera is the best solution.

I completely get nobody wanting a subscription, I donā€™t either. Eufyā€™s homebase 3 is based around non subscription service so it is unlikely they would implement such a change. Besides, they also know it is a huge selling point for their cameras.

I doubt the app has anything to do with specific camera motion detection, it merely accesses cameras for live streaming or recorded events (stored on each camera or a HomeBase), or sending settings changes to a cameraā€¦ weā€™ll see!

Iā€™m looking forward to more iPad / Tablet friendly features like sizing the camera images to see up to 8 (?) without scrolling, being able to stream multiple cameras at the same time, browser-based screens with normal sized fonts that are not just huge zoomed smart phone sized views, etc. :grinning:

Great news, but I hope itā€™s not a change for change sake, moving things around for no real reason. That happens a lot when developers have a whim.

I hope that my 4 cameras donā€™t become obsolete that I just bought with these updates like another company did to me that would be very disappointing.

Purchase was due to no subscription. I was sold due to NO subscription.
