Don’t use the cloud they can keep your data and want let you have it unless you pay
This is an expensive unit I also purchased not expecting to have an added expense of iCloud storage .. why can’t memory jst b stored on our iPhone or transferred to our computer storage/portable storage .. I doesn’t really make sense to me (sure iCloud Cld b one option but homeowners should b able to control their own assets) I view my footage & delete as I go.. builds up quite quickly!

I pray for the same. I literally just jumped the “nest” ship due to privacy concerns. I definitely hope eufy stays true to its founding values.
Basically i have had a Stalker, Tresspasser and Rapist problem now for ten years which is why i bought the Eufy Camera system but its a flawed system in that my tresspassers get past the entire security camera system by hacking into my mobile and simply deleting the video footage of themselves and they have an app. that prevents one from restoring footage from backup rendering the entire sercurity system as useless and there’s seemingly nothing i can do about it and the Police are just as inept. and useless. How can i restore the backup when the function has been erased from my Eufy Sercurity System entirely. If only one could not delete the initial footage taken in the first place i mean what does one need to delete footage for anyway!?!
Bring continuous recording back for all devices including battery and solar. I understand that battery consumption in an in but atleast give that option.

I like it as an option. While many may find local storage to be sufficient for their desires, having an option to store video where theives cannot steal the local storage to cover their tracks is an added measure of security.
Thay said, not everyone wishes the added and ongoing cost to provide this added measure and local storage is a better option for them.
I like that it’s a choice that covers both desires.
