Silly question

Silly question but if I set my notifications for motion detect to silent will it make a sound if someone actuall rings the doorbell? I have an E340 doorbell.

Thanks

I would assume the doorbell would still ring if someone physically pushes it.
Also you probably get a notification about it?

Try testing it out.

I should try it

You could always put your phone on silent just for the Eufy app if you don’t want any notifications for now.

Also, doesn’t the doorbell have its own notification sound in the doorbell settings? If so, then you should be able to silence the motion detection and set the doorbell button to another notification sound.

Yes it will work as a normal doorbell with notification switched off. Mine makes a ring noise from a speaker in the physical doorbell and I have set it to use Alexa to makea ring in the house and a voice to say somebody is at the door.

I think the OP is mainly concerned with their phone making a notification when the doorbell rings, but I could be wrong.
